(“AMG”, “we” or “our”) collects and processes when you (“You”) visit our website (www.amg-nv.com). We generally only process your Personal Data to the extent that this is necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.

We generally only store your Personal Data for as long as is necessary for the fulfilment of the purposes described in this Privacy Notice or as required by law.

You are neither contractually nor legally obliged to provide us your Personal Data indicated below. But if You do not provide the Personal Data, it may not be possible for us to provide our services our achieve the respective purposes of processing.

2.1 Website Visit

Scope of processing

Every time You visit our website, data is automatically collected and stored in log files. This data is not linked to other personal data. In particular, the following data is stored:

  • The operating system used by the accessing system,
  • The website from which an accessing system accesses our website (so-called referrer),
  • The sub-websites that are accessed via an accessing system on our website,

Legal basis and purpose of processing

Legal basis is our overweighing legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1) lit. f) GDPR).

Purpose of processing is the technical provision of our website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems and to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for prosecution in the event of a cyber-attack. This is also our overweighing legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1) lit. f) GDPR.

Retention period

The log files are generally deleted after 2 days at the latest.

2.2 Subscription for updates

Scope of processing

You have the option to subscribe for updates. For the provision of updates, we process the following Personal Data:

  • E-Mail address
  • First and last name
  • Your Company
  • Subscription date

We may collect additional information (e.g., whether You have received and opened the emails and whether You have clicked on links and content within our emails, or Your IP-address).

Legal basis and purpose of processing

Legal basis is Your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1) lit. a) GDPR.

Purpose of processing is the provision of updates. Where we collect additional information, we evaluate this information in order to better understand the interests and preferences of our subscribers, and to optimize our information offerings.

Retention period

You can unsubscribe at any time. This can be done in particular by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every update or by sending an email to
unsubscribe@amg-nv.com. Where additional information is collected, Your Personal Data will be retained only for the period necessary to fulfil the purpose of the respective processing, unless You withdraw Your consent at an earlier stage.

The service providers belong to the following categories: database hosting providers; and website and data hosting providers needed by AMG to perform the services and business operations.

Where the recipients are not certified under the EU – U.S. Data Privacy Framework, a level of data protection as considered adequate by the European Commission under an adequacy decision may not be ensured.
